Koheltaa, sählätä, säheltää

Meaning:

• to bumble, blunder, to fumble

• to act in a clumsy, disorganized,
  akward or chaotic manner

• also: not knowing what you're doing,
  making mistakes, messing up

Koheltaa

Mä vaan kohellan, mikään ei onnistu.
= I’m just bumbling, nothing is working out.

Mä vaan kohelsin taas töissä tänään.
= I again just fumbled at work today.

In formal Finnish these would be with touhottaa:

Minä vain touhotan, mikään ei onnistu.
Minä vain touhotin taas töissä tänään.

Sählätä

Mä sähläsin töissä huolella.
= I really messed up everything at work.

Me sählättiin vaan eilen, eikä saatu mitään valmiiks.
= We just fumbled yesterday and didn’t get anything ready.

In formal Finnish:

Minä tein paljon virheitä töissä.
Me vain touhotimme eilen,
emmekä saaneet mitään valmiiksi.

Säheltää

Aina mä sähellän!
= I always fumble!

Se vaan sähelsi taas koko päivän.
= He/she just fumbled the whole day again.

In formal Finnish:

Aina minä teen virheitä!
Hän vain touhotti taas koko päivän.

Other words of this video

kaatua = to fall
tippua = to drop, to fall (from somewhere)

Mä meinasin kaatuu suihkussa.
= I almost fell in the shower.

Sämpylät tippu lattialle.
= The bread rolls fell on the floor.

levitä = to spread

Sämpylät levis(i) ympäriinsä.
= The bread rolls spread all around.

pelastaa = to save (formal & informal Finnish)
seivata = to save (informal, spoken Finnish)

Tää kyllä pelasti päivän!
= This really saved the day!

Mä seivasin tilanteen.
= I saved the situtation.

Seivata also means tallentaa, to save (a document etc.):

Mä tallensin sen dokumentin.
= I saved that document.

kolaus = hit, blow

Mun ego sai pienen kolauksen.
Direct translation: My ego got a little hit.
Meaning: My ego was hurt.

Mun ylpeys sai kolauksen.
Direct translation: My pride got a little hit.
Meaning: My pride was hurt.
