I highly recommend having Finnish lessons with Noora. She is patient and encouraging. I feel comfortable making mistakes and taking my time to form my often broken sentences in the lessons. Somehow Noora is always able to decipher my meaning!  

She is familiar with the common mistakes and patterns that learners have and thus provide guidance to learning grammar topics.

I believe I have made steady progress in Finnish and I certainly would like to continue learning with her.

Meillä oli 16 oppituntia. Jokainen tunti kesti 30 minuuttia. Keskustelimme vapaasti eri aiheista. Minä itse ehdotin teemoja ja valitsin, mistä haluan puhua. Noora aina suostui niihin aiheisiin, joita ehdotin.

Minun tärkein tavoitteeni oli oppia puhumaan suomea rohkeammin ja ilman pelkoa. Minusta tuntuu usein epävarmalta, kun puhun suomea, koska en osaa vielä hyvin. 

Nooran kanssa sain harjoitella rauhassa. Hän kuunteli tarkasti ja kärsivällisesti, ja auttoi minua muodostamaan lauseita oikein. Jos jokin oli vaikeaa, hän selitti ystävällisesti ja selkeästi.

Noora myös lähetti minulle hyödyllisiä linkkejä, vinkkejä ja selityksiä. Hän opetti sellaisia suomen kielen sanoja ja ilmauksia, joita suomalaiset käyttävät. Ne fraasit olivat minulle tosi hyödyllisiä, ja olen ottanut ne käyttöön omassa puheessani.

Keskustelu oli aina kiinnostavaa. Noora oli yhtä aikaa hyvä suomen kielen opettaja ja ystävällinen keskustelukumppani. Hänen kanssaan oli helppo ja mukava puhua, myös henkilökohtaisista aiheista.

Nyt uskallan puhua suomea enemmän. Tuntuu vapaammalta ja paremmalta. Ei nolota eikä jännitä enää niin paljon kuin ennen.

Toivon, että saan opiskella Nooran kanssa vielä uudelleen tulevaisuudessa.
